A Big Week Ahead, And Liverpool Don't Even Play
Weekend PL debate, a few thoughts on the Fulham game, and in praise of the Academy
The staggering of games over the ‘winter break’ means that the Reds don’t play for more than a week, but at the weekend Man City face Newcastle (now without Joelinton), Spurs go to Manchester United and Liverpool fans may even want Everton to win a game, at home to Aston Villa.
This can be used as a thread for paying subscribers to discuss those games, and any Liverpool news that arises over the weekend. (I have three fairly detailed articles lined up for the week ahead.)
In the rest of this piece I'll share a few views on the past week, including the win against a full-strength Fulham with a barely half-strength Reds’ XI; no fewer than XI missing. As such, it's worth revisiting the impact the dozen or so Academy graduates have made.
