Amorim Job Could Benefit LFC, With Reds’ 17-Game Start Historically Astonishing

During the international break I decided to look at how well teams had done after their first 17 competitive games in all competitions (the stage where Liverpool are now at).
What happens next is not determined by what has happened in the past; but this is an almost unprecedented start across all competitions, as I will show. (And even more so given the Champions League games involved.)
And similar starts have all led to the ultimate success.
Plus, there’s the interesting injection of Ruben Amorim into the title-race equation, as he overseas games against Man City and Arsenal, with Liverpool having already gone to Old Trafford and won 3-0. Even if Amorim proves a bust long-term, this is bounce-time.
