Paul Tomkins, Andrew Beasley, Daniel Rhodes and other TTT regulars will give their thoughts on the match for 24 hours after the game, so the article received via email is unlikely to be the final version. There's statistics from the match and videos too.

Post-Match Thoughts

Paul Tomkins

Liverpool dug in deep away at the team with an impressive home record and an impressive unbeaten run.

It’s a crazy day when, once a season, you think a referee has actually been okay.

That’s the life of a Liverpool fan, as the opposition fans, week after week, call the referee, who is usually someone who never gives the Reds a Big Decision and usually gives tons more fouls against, a Scouser.

I keep saying that if you ‘win’ the xG by 1.5, as Liverpool are averaging this season, you’ll almost certainly win the game. That was the case again today. My point all season has been the consistency of this xG margin, which increases the odds of winning to such a high degree. It’s no fluke, even if you always need bits of luck.

Liverpool were not at their best, but had to battle hard away at a team that are truly elite at home, and Alisson was superb when called into action.

The vast majority of my analysis and the analysis of the others follows for paying TTT Main Hub subscribers only.
