The reward for the victors of this 4th round tie is a place in the quarter-final draw with the actual quarter-final ties taking place on Dec 17/18. Given the Reds host Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday and already have eight matches to navigate throughout December, I’d expect full usage of the available squad for this one.

Liverpool recorded a 2-2 draw at the Emirates on Sunday, which was our first stalemate in all competitions since the 3-3 at Aston Villa back in May. Brighton also recorded a 2-2 draw at the weekend at home against Wolves and their 4-2 loss at Chelsea last month is the only defeat they’ve suffered so far this season in all competitions.
