Brighton (Anfield) - Match Preview & Discussion Thread (March 31)
It's bogey team Brighton at Anfield for the Reds on Saturday (and bogey officials).
Match Preview and Metrics
And we’re back! Ten Premier League matches left to play as the battle for the title heats up. Liverpool welcome Brighton to Anfield on Sunday afternoon, which is a surprising departure from the Saturday lunch-time kick-off that is usually reserved for the Reds after an international break.
We don’t know who’ll be fit after international duty (the injury data will be added nearer the time of kick off), but we do now know the officials:
Sunday 31 March
Anfield, Liverpool
Liverpool 14:00 Brighton
Referee: David Coote. VAR: Paul Tierney.
To quote an old song, that joke isn’t funny anymore.
Brighton’s coach Roberto De Zerbi is tipped to be on the shortlist to replace Klopp this summer and he boasts and un-beaten record against Liverpool since he took over as Brighton manager in 2022/23.
