Liverpool head to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Tuesday evening, with both sides going through a season of transition for different reasons.

Following Liverpool’s defeat at Manchester City and Chelsea’s loss at home to Aston Villa on Saturday, the Reds and the Blues occupy 8th and 11th respectively and Chelsea’s new owners decided the time was right to sack Potter after six months in charge.

That just adds another layer of complexity to Liverpool’s visit to Stamford Bridge with Bruno Saltor taking charge as interim head coach until a permanent successor is named.
