Linzer Athletik-Sport-Klub - henceforth known as LASK - are Liverpool’s opponents in Matchday 1 of the Europa League on Thursday, with the Reds travelling to Austria for the first time since December 2019 when they dispatched Red Bull Salzburg 2-0 in the Champions League group stage.

Thursday’s match will be just the fifth time Liverpool compete against an Austrian side in Austria, with the first taking place in March 1985; a 1-1 draw with Austria Vienna.
