When was the last time two Scousers were by far the best two players on the pitch for the Reds? Do you have to go back to a game with Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher?

Curtis Jones was everywhere, and grabbed two lovely goals. Trent Alexander-Arnold was even more everywhere, and ran the show. He grabbed the other goal, which was another beauty.

The only disappointment was that the Reds didn't run up a goal-difference altering scoreline, with various big chances fluffed in the second half.
