Neil Jones on Twitter: "HALF TIME LIVERPOOL 2-1 LEICESTER https://t.co/T9k5ugWhPx" / Twitter

Paul Tomkins, Andrew Beasley, Daniel Rhodes and other TTT regulars will give their thoughts on the match for 24 hours after the game, so the article received via email is unlikely to be the final version. There's statistics from the match and videos too.

Post-Match Thoughts

Paul Tomkins

When your name is not too far removed from faeces, it's best not to put on a shitshow in a big televised game. In the end, it mattered too.

Then again, Liverpool, after a bright first few minutes, were terrible in the first half, shellshocked into sloppiness, nerviness and slow passing followed by aimless panicky long balls, after conceding yet another early goal.

It needed the big Leicester defender to bag a brace, and move up to joint 5th in the Reds' league scoring charts.

It was hardly vintage Liverpool in the second half either, with an injury-depleted team, but at least they created various chances (and those will be converted, sooner or later).

Still, there were several positives, within the edgy display overall, as well as the areas to improve.
