The biggest game of the season for the past few years has a slightly different complexion right now. But at least, on the one-game form guide, Liverpool go in as 7-1 winners and Man City on the back of a draw. Clearly neither result will mean much, as both managers rested players ahead of this key encounter.

Liverpool have won just one of the previous eight against Manchester City in the league - the 3-1 win at Anfield during the 2019/20 title winning campaign - so are well overdue a win in this fixture, which is meaningless in terms of influencing the outcome of this match but that sequence has to end at some stage.
