Liverpool are back in European action with the resumption of the Europa League on Thursday.
Match Preview and Metrics
Liverpool travel to the Czech Republic for Thursday’s last 16 1st leg tie against the current champions of the Czech Republic - Sparta Prague - who also lead the top division ahead of their inter-city rivals Slavia.
Liverpool and Sparta Prague have met twice before, having been drawn to face off in the last 32 of the Europa League back in February 2011. The first leg in Prague ended 0-0, with Dirk Kuyt scoring an 85th minute winner at Anfield to earn the Reds a place in the last 16 that year.
