With Champions League qualification for the Reds confirmed following Spurs’ 2-0 defeat at Chelsea on Thursday, the aim of Liverpool’s penultimate game at Anfield of the Jürgen Klopp era is to put in a match winning performance that (hopefully) renders the match officials’ influence towards the result null and void.

The reverse fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in September saw the Reds have a legitimate goal disallowed along with two players sent off, in what was a shocking display of incompetence by the match officials that ended with defeat for Liverpool deep into added time.
